Ryan Dunbar is a commercial, advertising and editorial portrait photographer based in Austin, Texas. He works across Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, and has photographed assignments in the United States, Canada and Asia.
What Ryan photographs
Ryan photographs advertising campaigns for brands and agencies. He also photographs portraits for magazines, book publishers and musicians.
Most of his work is portraiture, made in the studio and on location. His campaigns have run in print catalogues, on brand websites and in stores. His editorial portraits have been published in British magazines and newspapers, and on the covers of books.
He also photographs executives and company leaders who need a portrait for press, an award or a publication.

Background
Ryan has worked as a photographer since 2005.
For fifteen years he ran a studio in Winnipeg, Manitoba, working in the Canadian commercial market. His work outside Canada includes campaigns in the Philippines and editorial portraits in Thailand.
Austin has been his home base since 2024. He works across Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, and travels for assignments elsewhere.
